Don’t Forget to Vote
This year has been unlike any other, so our civic duty is even more important.
This is a friendly reminder from Dala Communications that early voting is underway, and Election Day is Nov. 3. Let’s make a commitment to motivate each other to vote.
I recently participated in a Texas voting phone bank. It was my first voter engagement activity since lots of cold call fun in college. The main goal was to make sure people knew how to find their early voting location and how to properly handle mail-in ballots. Sure, a lot of people hung up on me, but I was inspired, too. More than 200,000 people volunteered with me in a two-hour timeslot. One caller told me he was taking his 18-year-old son to vote for the first time. Another told me she was voting with all her friends and family and said, “thanks for my service.” The day wasn’t about me. It was about all of us wanting to make a difference. It’s a team effort, and at Dala Communications, we’re passionate about making a difference in our community in any way we can.
