22 IN ‘22 - A LOOK INTO THE Last HALF OF THE YEAR

Believe it or not, 2022 is coming to an end! To celebrate the year, we’re highlighting client successes — big and small — throughout the second half of 2022 (see the first half here). From company milestones to students making a difference in the community to celebrating employee achievements, our clients had an impressive year. So, without further ado let’s dig into the last 11 hits of our 22 in 2022!

Breaking ground in Dallas: StreetLights Residential broke ground on The Oliver, part of the mixed-use Central development. StreetLights’ Greg Coutant shared all the details with Dallas Morning News on the new development, which will soon become a top destination for retailers and residents alike.

Rising Against All Odds: Despite a tumultuous year, the Dallas-Fort Worth retail market has seen a great up turn this year. Stewart Korte, vice president in the retail division for NAI Robert Lynn, sat down with Bisnow to discuss retail trends and some of the bidding wars he’s seen this year.

Never too young for civic duties: Trinity Christian Academy seniors spent Election Day working the polls, with some casting votes of their own for the very first time. Fox, NBC, CBS, and the Carrollton Leader all came out to see students at work and hear what they learned during their time as poll workers.

Finding affordable healthcare for Texans: With millions of Texans uninsured, Evry Health CEO and cofounder Chris Gay sat down with Dallas Morning News to discuss communications challenges and how his company is working to bridge the gap across the state.

Trez is top in the business: Trez Capital’s Southwest team was at the top of their game this year – they generated 155 completed deals including the notable Dynavest/Legacy Hills residential development in Celina, TX. They put on their A-game this year and were named one of Connect’s Top Mortgage Brokers and Lenders for 2022!

Making moves: McCarthy Building Cos. Continues to expand and promoted Joe Jouvenal and Bryan Kuster as part of their ongoing commitment to the southern region.

Hit the road: Capital One’s Sanjiv Yanik is determined to make sure every American has equitable access to purchase a car, through the company’s partnership with On the Road Lending.

Training the next generation of engineers: With American water systems in need of a major infrastructure update, AECOM is working to prepare and educate future leaders in the water industry.

Collin County charts a path for success: At the 11th annual Collin County Business Alliance luncheon, Robert Kaplan, former President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, sat down for a Q&A with Capital One’s Sanjiv Yajnik to share his insights on why Texas—and Collin County as a whole—are bucking a national trend of decelerating workforce growth.

DFW firms bracing for growth: With billions of dollars in construction projects approved this year, DFW construction and engineering firms like AECOM are gearing up to hire thousands with technical and trade expertise.

Women making strides: Westmount Realty Capital’s Julie Butticarlo has worked in the commercial real estate industry for more than 25 years, and in 2022 she was promoted to Senior Director Asset Management AND named one of Connect’s Women in Real Estate! Butticarlo also mentors other women through membership in CREW Dallas, and continues to make strides in her field with no plans on slowing down. Congrats Julie!
