Quarterly Volunteer Day - #DalaDoesGood with The Mission Continues

The Dala team had the chance to volunteer with the Dallas 1st Service Platoon from The Mission Continues, a non-profit that empowers veterans who are adjusting to life at home to find purpose through community impact.

As part of Freedom Day on Sept. 11, 2017 (a Day of Service in Dallas where first responders, veterans, and local companies gather and volunteer together to commemorate Sept. 11, 2001), we volunteered alongside veterans at Whitney M. Young elementary school in South Dallas. We spent the day painting tires for a gardening project, creating a fun caterpillar that shows the alphabet, and organized books in the school's library.
